Zeekr 009 Surpasses 6,000 Orders in 10 Days Post-Launch, Boosting Sales Performance
Zeekr, the premium electric vehicle (EV) subsidiary of the Geely Holding Group, has announced impressive order figures for its updated Zeekr 009 multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), highlighting strong initial consumer interest.
Within just 10 days of its launch, the all-new Zeekr 009 has garnered over 6,000 firm orders, demonstrating robust demand for the updated model. The vehicle was introduced earlier this month, marking the first time Zeekr has launched a major product outside the Chinese mainland, specifically in Hong Kong.
The updated Zeekr 009 is available in both six-seat and seven-seat configurations, offering more flexibility compared to its predecessor, which was exclusively a six-seater. Deliveries for the Chinese mainland customers commenced on July 22, while the right-hand drive version for Hong Kong will begin in the fourth quarter of this year.
Zeekr did not disclose the exact number of units delivered to date. However, the original Zeekr 009 was launched in the Chinese mainland on November 1, 2022, and deliveries started in February 2023. On January 15 of this year, Zeekr unveiled the 2024 model with a slight price increase and enhanced features.
On April 19, Zeekr introduced the four-seat Zeekr 009 Grand, a premium variant aimed at business owners and luxury seekers. This model is positioned above the standard Zeekr 009 and is available in one trim level in the Chinese mainland, priced at RMB 789,000.
In the Chinese mainland, the updated Zeekr 009 comes in three variants, with starting prices ranging from RMB 439,000 to RMB 469,000. The right-hand drive version for Hong Kong has a subsidized starting price of HK$755,000.
In addition to the Zeekr 009, the company’s current lineup includes the Zeekr 001, Zeekr 007, and Zeekr X. Later this year, Zeekr plans to introduce the Zeekr 7X SUV for the family market, available in both left-hand and right-hand drive configurations.
For the first half of 2024, Zeekr delivered 87,870 vehicles, representing a year-on-year growth of 106.11%. Specifically, the Zeekr 009 contributed 2,907 units to these deliveries, accounting for 3.31% of total sales during this period.
