Zeekr Prepares to Launch Updated 2025 Model Year 001 Shooting Brake and 007 Sedan
Geely Holding Group’s premium electric vehicle (EV) brand, Zeekr (NYSE: ZK), is set to unveil updated versions of its popular 001 shooting brake and 007 sedan on August 13. The launch event, scheduled to begin at 7 PM Beijing Time, comes just half a year after the release of the previous models, reflecting the accelerated refresh cycles typical of the EV industry.
A teaser poster shared by Zeekr on Weibo suggests that the 2025 model year updates will bring significant enhancements to the 001 and 007. These models join Zeekr’s existing lineup, which includes the Zeekr X compact SUV and the Zeekr 009 MPV, all of which are battery electric vehicles (BEVs).
Zeekr 001:
- Launch Date: The original Zeekr 001 debuted on April 15, 2021, with deliveries starting in October of the same year.
- 2024 Model: On February 27, Zeekr introduced the 2024 model, featuring improved specs and reduced pricing, now ranging from RMB 269,000 ($37,530) to RMB 329,000.
- FR Supercar Variant: A high-performance version, the Zeekr 001 FR, is also available, priced from RMB 769,000.
- Sales Performance: In 2023, the Zeekr 001 accounted for 64% of Zeekr’s total deliveries, with 76,246 units sold.
- Cumulative Deliveries: By the end of July 2024, the Zeekr 001 had reached 218,097 cumulative deliveries, representing 72.66% of Zeekr’s total deliveries of 300,158 units, according to data compiled by AUTOINCHINA.
Zeekr 007:
- Market Positioning: Launched on December 27, 2023, the Zeekr 007 is the brand’s first model aimed at the mainstream EV market.
- Pricing: The current starting price range for the 007 sedan is RMB 209,900 to RMB 299,900.
With these updates, Zeekr continues to strengthen its position in the competitive EV market, offering consumers an array of innovative options tailored to diverse needs and preferences.
